Well it’s been almost 2 weeks since I started on anti depressants. Haven’t noticed much of a difference but the doctor did say it could take two weeks to notice anything. I still have very little motivation during the day.
One thing that I did notice is that the wellbutrin has been curbing my desire to smoke and also has made my nose my sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke. I kinda figured this would happen since I know wellbutrin is used as a smoking cessation medication. Not sure if I am ready to quit with all the other stress in my life.
I am 38 years old and recently learned that I may be bipolar. I am learning as much as I can as I discover myself with this newly acquired "label". I am not afraid of the diagnosis, rather I am afraid of not being able to learn and live with the diagnosis. I firmly believe that with the right medication and right medical care I can continue to live a successful life post diagnosis while keeping my eyes open for potential pitfalls that I am learning to be more acutely aware of.
